Our #1 client? A group of poker-curious almost-newbies who are intimidated by the structure, process, and unique poker lingo... but they want to learn how to play in a safe space. We understand: you simply cannot walk into a casino and sit down at a poker table the same way you might at a roulette wheel or blackjack game. They've seen it on TV or Youtube, or friends and spouses play, but it always looks a little too serious and it DOES seem a bit too daunting. We provide a way for individuals or small groups to get together, perhaps of varying levels of experience, and go through the basics. The sweet spot is 6-8 people of a similar skill-level and curiosity, but we can handle anything.

Birthday party? Game night? A group of spouses who wish to "catch up" to their partners in secret and/or without egos or years of preconceived notions? Perfect!

We won't lie... 3 hours is really not even close to enough time to really make an impact. It's a start, but for best results you should have 5-6 sessions to really get into the swing of things. Why? Well... Poker is a game of repetition. A LOT of repetition. But also, it is a game of patience. Depending on the variant and the players at the table, experts recommend that a player fold (choose not to play) anywhere from 50% to 85% of hands. This means sometimes a "good" poker player will sit at a table without playing a single hand in a half hour! This, of course, is also sometimes not FUN. So we'll work with you to see what your objectives and goals are, and go from there.

Our #2 client? A group of folks that have a regular / semi-regular "home game" (once a week, once a month, every now-and-then), but they don't want to have to be in charge of every little detail. Bring in a friendly, knowledgeable dealer who will deal the cards, handle the chips, and keep the game moving smoothly and efficiently; an impartial referee should there be a question of form or etiquette. A relief to the host who now only has to worry about things like food deliveries and can relax and play. We'll also help you set up and tear down! We can provide table, chairs, chips, cards, etc. as necessary.
